“In the quiet of the soul, the truth awakens.”
- Rudolf Steiner
As we arrive closer to the end of term, there is a gentle shift in the rhythm of the school. The busyness of the weeks behind us gives way to reflection, celebration, and a deep appreciation for the learning and growth that has taken place.
Mid-Winter Festivals
Our various Mid-Winter Festivals provide an important counterbalance to the pace of daily life. As the season itself invites quiet and reflection, it offers us an opportunity to consider the idea of inner stillness. Winter reminds us that, beneath the surface, renewal and growth are quietly taking place.
Steiner’s words invite us to pause and recognise the importance of these quieter moments. In the midst of activity and connection, there is value in finding time to simply be: to reflect, to notice, and to gather strength. Our festivals are therefore not only occasions that mark the rhythms of the school year, but also opportunities for deeper reflection, encouraging students and families to consider their own growth and sense of purpose. Some photos from our community event are below.
End of Term - Celebrating Learning
Across the school, students have been bringing their final Main Lessons for the term to completion, demonstrating both commitment and growth. This final period has been marked by thoughtful consolidation of learning, creative expression, and moments of genuine accomplishment and pride. It is in these concluding weeks that we often see the depth of understanding that has developed over the term. I commend our students for their efforts and thank our teachers and all who support them, for nurturing such purposeful and engaging learning experiences.
GPA Mid-Winter Party – Thank You
Our sincere thanks go to the GPA and wider parent community for the wonderful Mid-Winter Party,
A Midwinter Night’s Dream
held last Saturday. The evening was a true celebration of connection and community. We are especially grateful to the lead organisers, Year 7 and Year 9 families, whose contributions brought the event to life so beautifully. Occasions such as this strengthen our shared sense of belonging and are deeply valued.
Careers-Alumni Evening – Glen X Stories
Our recent Alumni Careers Evening,
Glen X Stories
, was a rich and inspiring experience for our senior students and their families. Hearing from alumni across a range of pathways provided valuable insight and practical guidance. The keynote, panel discussion, and small-group talking circles allowed for meaningful conversations and honest sharing of experiences. We extend our thanks to all participating alumni for their generosity in supporting the next generation as they begin to consider their future directions. Please enjoy some photos of the evening below.
As the term draws to a close, I wish all members of our community a restful and restorative break. We look forward to welcoming everyone back next term, refreshed and ready for the learning journey ahead.
