Years 7 and 8
In Years 7 and 8, students experience a broad academic, aesthetic, social, and physical curriculum that stimulates curiosity and supports their transition from childhood into adolescence. This balanced approach strengthens students in mind, heart, and body as they navigate the changes of puberty.
Year 9
Year 9 marks a pivotal stage of growth, addressed through The Cove, our distinctive program built on the pillars of Community, Achievement, and Autonomy. Through academic challenge, practical tasks, and experiential learning in wilderness and urban environments, students develop resilience, self-discipline, service, and a strong sense of belonging.
Year 10
In Year 10, students step into Senior School, where learning intentionally stretches them across all areas. A whole-cohort music theatre production, outdoor education experiences, and a Tasmania trek foster collaboration, perseverance, and personal growth, preparing students for the academic focus of the senior years.
Years 11 and 12
Years 11 and 12 represent the synthesis and culmination of the students’ educational journey. At this stage, the program offers a rigorous and dynamic education that meets the intellectual, social, and personal needs of young people as they stand on the threshold of adult life. Students engage deeply with their learning, developing independence, responsibility, and clarity about their strengths, interests, and future pathways.
Alongside the Higher School Certificate (HSC), with more than 25 courses on offer, students undertake Glenaeon-developed modules designed to broaden and enrich their educational experience. These modules connect academic learning with real-world contexts, encouraging critical thinking, ethical reflection, and practical application. Through this integrated approach, students are supported to refine their values, articulate their ideas with confidence, and step beyond school as capable, reflective, and socially responsible young adults.
