Our Year 9 are now all back at school after enjoying a fantastic canoeing/art camp on the Shoalhaven River. The week long outdoor education expedition for Year 9 on the south coast is based around an intense river experience over three days, sleeping under bivvies at the water’s edge and paddling on this impressive river upstream from the Coolendel campground. The students then paddle down to Bundanon, the studio of national art icon Arthur Boyd, and spend the remainder of the time in art activities that capture and express the river experience. The girls of the year had their time a week earlier, in very challenging weather conditions, and we can all enjoy the product of Year 9’s artistic labours on Tuesday evening 18 November when they hang their work in an exhibition at the MMG Hall, Castlecrag. All welcome from 7pm.
