Year 8 students are learning about Food Chemistry
Year 8 students are learning about Food Chemistry and what better place to start than our own biodynamic garden. They were sourcing ingredients for their class in the kitchen with teacher, Anne Rouse. Notice those beautiful shibori dyed aprons they made earlier this year?
The study of Food Chemistry in Year 8 flows from the students’ study of health and nutrition in the Physiology Main Lesson in Year 7. In order for students to understand where the foods we eat are produced it is necessary to first look at how plants produce food and why.
