Year 12 Solo Camp

Glenaeon's Year 12 recently journeyed westward to the bush for their three day solo camp - the culmination of the schools' active wilderness program.
Students pitched tents on their own and then spent 30 hours by themselves in the bush with no reading material or music, just some paper and pens and their own thoughts.
The group spent the remainder of their time repairing an area of bushland suffering from erosion, an ongoing landcare project, started by previous Glenaeon Year 12s.
The independence required to do this is both mental and practical and provides wonderful preparation for participating in society in a resourceful way.
