Welcome to Term 4 assembly
Our welcome assembly this week was uplifting and varied as always.
Our welcome assembly this week was uplifting and varied as always, and featured sporting presentations to our successful netball teams, rehearsals for our Carol Service coming up on Monday 4 December, and the handing over of a cheque for $6,225 to Waves of Wellness Foundation, the money donated by Glenaeon community members during Year 12's Flouro Cycle-a-thon last month.
Blaise Miller Hill, who was the inspiration behind the fundraiser, described the 24 hour cycle-a-thon to the rest of the student body, and suggested that, like this year's senior class, similar fundraisers be parting gifts from all Year 12s in the future. Click below for more photos...
Joel Pilgrim is the organisation's CEO, and he spoke candidly and passionately about the need for all of us to acknowledge mental health issues and seek out support when necessary. Joel donated a copy of his book, Stand Up, Stand Out, to our school library. Congratulations to all involved in the fundraiser.
