Nature Tables are seen in many Steiner Classrooms. They are used as a way to connect children with the rhythms of the natural world around them. Teachers and children create beautiful seasonal tables with simple items found in nature and handmade items to represent the gestures of each seasons. Cloths of muslin and silk in different hues are used on the table to represent each season. Some classes focus mainly on the archetypal season while other teachers have an influence of Australian Indigenous seasons. The children love to bring found items for the table from bushwalks and thus the table continually grows and changes.
