KAPLA at Castlecrag
Madame KAPLA visits our junior Castlecrag campus (K-2).
On Wednesday last week, our junior Castlecrag campus (K-2), had a visit from the lovely people from Madame KAPLA, and the children made castles and water dragons, filling up the hall with their wonderful creations. Our Kapla session is always one of the highlights of the children’s year!
KAPLA planks were invented in the Netherlands in 1987 by Tom van der Bruggen. Kapla is an abbreviation of “Kabouter Plankjes” which means 'gnome planks' in Dutch. KAPLA is made out of 100 % untreated wood. The wood comes from the pine forests of Les Landes, a natural renewable forest situated in the south-west of France.
