A number of our students recently enjoyed a sunny day of soccer, whilst competing in the ISD Soccer Carnival.

This carnival was only open for senior soccer teams (unfortunately - as no pathway higher up is currently available for junior soccer school teams in our carnival association (ISD --> AICES -->CIS). As a result, quite a few Glenaeon students had to 'play up', as in play in a senior team against seniors while still being 15 or younger! Quite an experience for our young talents such as Hikaru, Lilly B., Willa, Roxana and Pip, Paulo, Evan and Alex S. (all from Year 8!!) The boys won a game and lost another game again, as usual, very fierce and strong opposition. The girls won their games and both teams were then defeated in the semi!!
Our ex-super soccer player Daisy A, who finished school last year, was my assistant coach and all students got to experience the excitement of playing on huge fields with big goals! The teams were captained by Ed Bacon (boys) and Blaise Miller Hill for the girls. Blaise was the goal getter of the day with two goals to her name.
All students experienced a wonderful warm autumn day out doing what they love and need to be congratulated for flying the Glenaeon flag high! We are looking forward to more soccer competition next year!!
