The Festival will start at 10.15am on the round oval and parents are welcome to attend.
Please note that there is no parking available on site or in Glenroy or Greenfield Avenues. Please park safely and legally in the local area. We suggest parking on the other side of Eastern Valley Way in Tyneside Avenue or elsewhere in Middle Cove. Fines for illegal parking are quite hefty.
There will also be a shuttle bus to and from the Castlecrag campus that will travel along Tyneside Avenue on route and can be waved down as necessary.
There will be small performances from each class from Class 1 to Year 10 (Year 12 are now on study vacation and Year 11 are on camp). We expect that the festival items will take approximately 1 hour in total.
This will be followed by shared morning tea, on the ovals in class groups. Please bring a simple plate to share (must be nut free) and a picnic rug. We envisage morning tea will finish about 11.45am.
The canteen will be open for business so please feel free to purchase coffee and other delights. There will be some seating in the Amphitheatre. Check in on your way down the hill, it may even be open pre-festival.
The canteen will also operate as usual for student lunches. All students will have regular classes for the afternoon.
A special picnic box will be available to buy or order in advance on the day from the canteen. It will include a beef, avocado and salad roll, (remove beef for vegetarians), a slice of either carrot or banana cake, and a coffee or hot chocolate - total price $10.00
All parents will be notified by SMS by 8.30am on Wednesday morning at the latest if impending inclement weather forces cancellation of festival. We really can’t call it earlier than that as things can change a lot overnight.
