Class 6 in a pickle
Class 6 had fun ‘quick’ pickling our beans from the garden.
Class 6 had fun ‘quick’ pickling our beans from the garden. We popped in garlic, chilli, rosemary and thyme from the garden into the pickling mix and students were able to take a jar home. The pickles need to be left for 48 hours before eating and can be stored in the fridge for up to two months. The class also made zucchini and potato fritters with zucchini from the garden and will be adding onions and chives from the garden to more fritters in their next lesson.
If you have empty glass jars at home, we need them for pickling! Please drop them in to either campus and they’ll make their way to the garden.
