Class 6 Excursion
Class 6 recently spent the day at the Nicholson Museum at Sydney University.
This little gem of a museum holds the most extensive collection of classical antiquities from the ancient Roman, Greek and Egyptian times in the southern hemisphere. To have such a treasure so close to our doorstep is a real blessing, and the children are always amazed to see statues, mummies, scrolls, papyri and other artifacts that come straight from their Main Lessons studies. Class 6 spend two Main Lessons on Ancient Rome, and here they saw artifacts from the Roman world close up.
