Class 3 handwork
In Class 3 the children at Glenaeon continue to work with wool fibres.
In Class 3 the children at Glenaeon continue to work with wool fibres and started the year with a long stitch project, sewing designs onto a canvas which turned into a zippered pencil case. The children quickly graduate to crochet, beginning with a simple project using a stitch they learnt last year with Claudia Van Djyk, and they crochet a drink bottle holder- a handy item for bushwalks etc. R: Finn and Isaac
Earlier in the year they were visited by artisan, Grace Aloisio, who demonstrated methods in hat-making. As a result, the Class 3 children decided to make their own hats and have been busy crocheting their beanies. As you can see by the photos, each child finishes their project with their own unique design flair!
