Class 2 spent this term steeped in the wondrous legends of the saints. One child said recently, "When I grow up, I am going to be a saint."  One common link among them is their tremendous capacity for empathy and selflessness. As a way to bring this experience in a meaningful way to the children, we embarked on our first work of service. The class walked to St. Paul's Retirement Village and entertained some of the residents there. They played recorder, shared some of their craft work and then gave an encore performance on the recorder by request of the audience! The children met a woman who is a shining 106 years old. They were very proud of themselves and brought great light and joy into the space.
