This week we have been celebrating Harvest, an aspect of the autumn soul mood. Our Middle Cove Harvest Festival for Class 3 to Year 12 on Wednesday centred around a large mandala of vegetables and fruit prepared by Art Teacher Alisan Smotlak and students. Manu Prasad led us all in a Harvest song, then we enjoyed a sharing from each class who provided the gift of an item for everyone to enjoy. Class 3 bravely began proceedings with their first outing in front of the campus community in the Hall, reciting a lovely old poem from their Farming Main Lesson, I will go with my father a’ploughing. We finished with an impressive performance of a movement from the Bach Violin concerto played by Year 10 student Natasha Petit.
