We recently celebrated The Harvest Festival in Assembly with singing, poems and stories. This festival is unique to Steiner schools, where the produce of the earth is gathered, and our labours recognised in a celebration. The oranges, reds and yellows have burst into flame in various fruits and vegetables such as pumpkins, tomatoes and squash. A time of equal day and night - it is a time when nature is considered to be in balance.
The next event in our Parent Education Program will be 'Optimising Our Ability to Learn'. On Friday 28th March, Annette Barone will host a talk on exploring the role of movement in learning, and discuss how this unfolds according to child development. She will also talk about practical activities to incorporate into home life.
An open day will be held at the Middle Cove Campus on Friday 4th April from 9:15 am until 12:00 pm. The open day is a fantastic opportunity for prospective parents to tour the school, observe classrooms from Year 3 to Year 12 in action, and view displays of student work and performances.
Take a tour of our K-2 campus located in the heart of Castlecrag. Explore some of the beautiful classrooms, enjoy an informative talk from the Head of School, and finish up with a delicious morning tea.
